That's plenty if your planning on not doing a whole lot of gambling. Prices of drinks in the main casino bars are around Irish prices or slightly more, drinks in the niteclubs are more again. $200 a day for food and drink per day should be plenty. Spend an evening down on Freemont Street for the experience, drinks are dirt cheap there.

You wouldn't feel spending $100 in the bar in that hotel you are staying in, it's a good bar though. 9 Fine Irishmen it's called.

You just need to keep an eye on what your spending.

I went one day and all i spent was $20 on food (excluding gambling)

Separate your money for gambling and then day to day stuff.

Loads of cheap places to eat.

Paying for drink anywhere is expensive.

Thing about Vegas is, you can never bring not enough money.
If you want to eat in places like cheesecake factory or place like irish bar be about $25 I think for a drink and main meal.

how long is a piece of string, vegas can be as cheap or as expensive as you want to make it, i remember reading something someone wrote a few years "only bring as much money to vegas as you are willing to lose"

drinks are free (with same tips) if playing any games, there are lots of walgreens and other pharmacies on the strip where you can purchase cheap booze, expect to pay through the nose for drinks in the main nightclubs, places like orleans, south coast do really cheap decent quality buffets, expect to pay 8-10 times the price in more luxurious hotels such as wynn and bellagio, meal specials are available all over town, graveyard shift is from 12-6am and a good time to get meal deals http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/topten.cfm

That's a good website Rossie. Pity I didn't know about it when I was there.

It definitely depends on how much gambling, shopping you intend to do.

If youre a big gambler (which by the sounds of it, if youre only bringing 2,500$ then probably not so thats a grand amount

If youre a drinker - then a easy way to save some $$$ is to go to the slots and sit there for a couple of hours, you get free drink while gambling so its a win win:D:D:D

If you want to go see any shows or go see the Grand Canyon then you will definitely need a couple of $$ put aside for that! Either way, you'll have an epic time! Just watch out for the tigers in the hotel room:p

You should try to do an air flight over the Grand Canyon. It will be $200 though, but you will never forget it. A helicopter will be more expensive.
