    starting in a job tomorrow just wondering to i ring the tax office and let them know im starting ? would hate to be put on emergency tax

    Yes. Get your employer's ref no. and call that over to Revenue, with details of your employment.

    They will send you a new tax cert with the appropriate credits, and you should be taxed at the appropriate rate from day one.
