Male only boxing club

Sorry if there is already a thread on this, but I'm new to Boards.ie.

Does anyone know of a male only boxing club in the Louth / Meath / Dublin area? I ask because my local one is a mixed club, with alternating mixed classes and women only classes. What really bugs me is that they are OK with having women only, but there are no men only classes. I too am uncomfortable "doing my thang" on front of the fairer sex so I would like a club that is men only, perhaps they would be more brutal an intense. Full on gyms are too expensive for me and as of September, when I commence my new job I will be unable to attend on weekday mornings / afternoons.

    Sorry for the spiel.

Don't really know of any off hand, in my gym we train with both men and women never had a problem. Women can be just as brutal and intense when sparring.

Its all Katie Taylors fault taking our last bastion of manhood (don't tell her I said that):)

Only reason you will find an all man only boxing class is if the club are sexist or the facilities don't or cant cater for both-I run a club with regular class that ladies can join in and a ladies only class, Fact is they/club's won't benefit from having male only classes and they do benefit having ladies only classes, either way-people are only meant to focus on the training and not if there is someone of the fairer sex in the gym.

Becuase they will come to them and not the mixed classes, Men clearly come to the mixed classes as they are 90-100% men.

Looks like your trying to make an issue out of nothing, Clubs will do what benefits themselves most and rightly so.

Yeah, fair enough then. I was just enquiring if there were any male only clubs around .. and I'll admit I did get bit carried away :P feel free to lock if you feel the issue is resolved

I have no problem with the question, and answered to the best of my knowledge, hope it helps and hope you get to a club.
