Recommend Dubai Hotel

    Hi folks

    Stopping off in dubai for three nights with my OH end of October 2012, looking for a hotel in dubai thats nice but not going to break the bank.

    Have tried searching but most threads here are years old.

    We would preferably like somewhere near the beach but understand this is prob more expensive. Any recommendations of where to stay and what to see on our short stay??

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    When I was there I stayed in a Holiday Inn near Safa park. Was cheap but the place was clean and the food was good. Free bus to beach in the mornings (10min drive) and not far from city center/airport either.

    beauty of Dubai is hotels are all of very high standards.

    Two I would recommend:

    Top of the range - Grosvenor house (near beach & use of their sister the hotel the roal meridian)

    Middle price - Sofitel - dubai marina ( still a 5 star) or

    one other I forgot to mention is the sofitel on the walk - really nice at decent prices!
