Feel free to move if in wrong place. I installed a Silvercrest KH2377 today. It's doing everything it's supposed to except play music through the USB port. Its an IPhone 3GS that I'm trying to connect, the phone will beep a few times, USB play comes up on the display then after a short while error 2 comes up on the display. It will play music through the bluetooth no prob. Any opinions greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure it's not iPod compatible.
Does it mention iPod or iPhone anywhere on the packaging, advertising or manuals?

It has an sd card slot too, much handier than USB.

True but all those cards are different sizes as in the radio one wont fit the computer and the one in the phone is different too. I got a 8GB stick and its tiny, you wouldnt even notice it..

Have the same stereo and the same problem. Basically the stereo is not compatible to play ipod files (AAC files is the technical name I believe).

What you could try to do is drag and drop the MP3 files from your PC straight to the ipod through 'my computer' as I think it can be used as an external memory device without playing directly through the ipod. Ive yet to try this. Hope i'm making sense here.

Also I think the maximum memory device that can be used through the stereo is 16 GB. It wont read anything higher than that. Again, I hope this is making sense.

How is the bluetooth working out for you on the road? People find it hard to hear me but I can hear them perfectly.

Best option is the SD slot in my opinion.

The radio takes sd and xd cards, phone takes micro sd cards, you usually get a micro SD> SD adaptor when you buy a micro SD card.

You can get a 16GB micro SD card and SD adaptor in maplin for €15

I might invest so. The mic was not working but I robbed a Nokia one and its grand now..

Your stereo use a2dp which means you can stream music from the phone to the stereo, that's how I play my music in the car.

edit, I see that's what you do now.

No point in spending €15 when you only have to spend €1.55 on ebay. Next day delivery too.

How much does delivery cost ?

On delivery, try Komplett.ie, no delivery charges, I got laptop memory of them recently, quite happy with it.
There is also dabs.ie, but they charge delivery.
Currys, Maplins, PC World, Argos, Harvey Norman and Tescos after that.

Does the artist/song title display when using Bluetooth to stream on this??
I've a jvc Bluetooth stereo.. It has a2dp and some other protocol.
I think it used display this info but I can't for the life of me get it to display this info anymore.
Tried another iPhone reset stereo etc etc... Just get no name displayed
    Marty.

From what I have used of it so far it seems fine for the price of it. I put it in a 99 A4 which had the original radio in it so its definitly an improvement on that.

I bought a Silvercrest car radio in Lidl last Monday & installed it this evening but it won't fully take in a CD. Anyone else have the same problem or advice/solution. It plays from the USB stick fine. Perhaps taking it back & getting an exchange or refund would be the easiest solution :(

Have you tried a few different cds? If you have I'd take it back.
