My Daughter has been accepted for the first stage of the SUSI grant application and we are submitting documents to take this to next stage.
The college require fees to be paid by 4th sep. 2012. Once her grant is fully approved her fees will alos be paid by SSI.
But it is unlikely that SUSI will have approved grant before fees are due.

I wonder what people do in this situation.

The college usually give an extension aslong as you provide proof that the grant has been approved to them.

Just make sure your daughter provides the registry when asked for a college fees, the letter from SUSI stating that her application is been accepted for the first stage.

She should be grand and you dont have to worry about anything!

Does this apply to the accommodation also? This is due to be paid next week and I'm wondering if it can also be deferred.

    Probably not but ask them

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
