    Hi all,

There's 6.5 acres of a plantation for sale near my son, it's 15 yrs old with a mix of Spruce/Larch/Ash. He and his partner are looking to buy as an investment.

If it doesnt break the forum charter would any of you have an idea of the value as the auctioneer has said "it's open to offers" and if not would a Coillte advisor be the best to give a valuation on it?

By the way, son and partner arent farmers or a foresters just have a few bob to spare and want to try and hang on to it.

    Thanks in advance

    D

If it has decent access, is in reasonable shape & good boundary fences I would put it at ~€20,000.
Get the local teagasc advisor to come out and have a look at it with them and they will let you know from an aerial photo if it is worth it...

Amate of mine worked for years doing inventory/valuation for Coillte. If you want his number pm me he'd have a fair idea of the value of the site.
