As part of National Heritage Week for 2012 the Curragh Local History Group held a reunion at Lumville House Hotel , Curragh, on Saturday August 25th to commemorate the car and motorcycle races held there between the years 1947 and 1967. They invited former competitors and their friends to come along to Lumville House Hotel on August 25th to take part in a display of cars and motorcycles, and to view some photographs of past events.
It was a great day had by all, many thanks to the organisers and a special thank you to Oliver McCrossen. I will look forward to next as I hope this wasn’t a once off event.
Here are a number of photos I took on the day. Do to what the event was it’s a right mix of year and type of vehicle.
