Just spotted this on facebook. The R.A.G.E (retro games/records shop in Dublin) are running a Tekken 3 tournament. Apparently it's on in a place called Hogan's on monday September 10th at 8pm, and it's a fiver entry. Tickets are on sale from the shop. I was all excited thinking about it, and hoping it would be on a cab, but it's on PS1. Aaaaaaanyways, I though I'd post it up here in case anyone was interested.

Ps. Don't ask me where Hogans is, because I've no idea.

    PS1?
    Huh, I have a PS1 stick...

You're in there so. Apparently there are only a limited amount of tickets available, so if anyone is interested, get into the shop quick, I reckon. I won't be there myself, because I couldn't really be arsed, but I reckon it'll just be randomers showing up for a bit of fun, so if there are any real Tekken players here, you guys could clean up house at this.

You're assuming they will let you use your own controller, or even set your buttons.

    I'd check with them first.

Logically and timewise, the easiest thing for them to do is probably
default PS1 controller setup for all.

Yeah, I've tried before to convince them to use a modern system so people could use sticks to no avail with their ST tournament :(

I didn't feel like going and getting incredibly frustrated with the SNES pad.

I would have happily gone and tried to play on SNES pad but I legitimately couldn't spare the time to attend that week.

I DID have time to attend the one the week previous, where the tournament was cancelled 10 minute before it was supposed to start, and I had left my flat 20 minutes beforehand in order to get there on time :(

    Why was it cancelled?

Too much interest, and a last minute decision to move to a bigger rented venue than just their shop.

Which I am 100% in favour of, but they should have decided that BEFORE I left my flat to walk to the tournament.

I did on FB, said it was ok.

Actually makes it easier for me since I use default on stick, but set shoulders on pad.

Looks like this one's on tonight, folks. Just thought I'd bump the thread in case anyone is interested.
