Advice on a Pye record player

Hi, I recently bought a 1950s Pye record player and it needs a new valve to get working again, Im just wondering if anyone knew if I could get thhis fixed somewhere in the south east. Ive looked online and the valves can be bought but as Im not to technologically minded Im afraid I might buy the wrong one!
