Transport from tullamore

Guys, looking at moving out of Dublin to cut cost and maybe a little start up company in next while, been looking at different areas but I came across tullamore and was wondering, any advice on transport to and from the area, what is it like to connect to other areas trains, buses, roads in the area,

Want an nice area but also want to be able to get places easy and travel to major city's, Dublin, cork, Galway limerick in short time.

Thanks for this info, what are roads like to travel by car to and from Tullamore, does it take long to get to Dublin, Galway, limerick, cork, from here

Any reason you're avoiding Portlaoise? On the M7/M8, good bus, good rail. Tullamore seems like a bit off to the side by comparison with the need to make more connections to get places.

No it's an area we have been looking at too but we have heard that tullamore was a nicer area, prices of house to rent were also more in Portlaoise, we travel to the west once a month also so we taught this would be a better area but we could be wrong

There's motorway from Tullamore to Dublin and Galway ( well from Kilbeggan, 6km away)
The n80 to Portloaise is reasonable and then you have motorway to Limerick and Cork
