Being made redundant

Ok so I'm being made redundant. What happens next, I'm told it can take up to 2 months to get my redundancy payment sorted, is this true? I haven't a bean so this could mean I won't be able to pay my mortgage next month if that's the case. Also I heard it can take up to 2 months to get the back to work allowance sorted…

They are obliged to pay you your redundancy on the last day of work. Don't take this fob off.
