I've read the charter so hopefully this question is ok

What is the average cost of getting a root canal/crown? I have been in touch with two dentists but the costs seem to vary greatly.

I will be contacting one more in Dublin and one more up north to try and balance it out.

It will depend on a few things, one of the big ones being if the person doing it is a specialist endodontist or not.

    What tooth is it?

do you know if the person doing the procedure is an endodontist?

From my own experience (im not a dentist) of 2 root canals and one relatively recently, I was in the chair for over 3 hours as the case was complex as molars can be.

An endodontist does nothing but RC's and i maybe am making an assumption but they will most likely have very specialised equipment for RCs that a general dentist wont.

The specialist will be more expensive.
