    Hi Folks

We are about to start construction on our chimney back-back to accommodate a boiler stove. We have called and searched stove centres everywhere, Our Plumber tells us we need a stove that puts out 50,000 BTU minimal.

So far we have found these that meet our requirements.

Stanley Reginald Stove 48,000 (a little shy of requirements).
    Black Smith (Farrier)
    Inis Mor Boiler.
    Aidan High Pressure Stove
    Henley Blasket Stove.

Does anyone know any thing about these, every stove centre recommends their product, with the store owner stating that this is the stove I have in my house. Just getting a bit muddled at the minute.

We have had to borrow for this job. So I have to get it right. All help and advise would be grateful, particularly if you have any of these stoves in. Or have any dealings with them.

    Thank
    Emmett

Have you looked at the Stratford Ecoboiler range particularly the EB20

    http://www.stratfordboilerstoves.co.uk/models/freestanding-stoves/eb20-he.html

We bought an EB12 earlier in the summer and It is fantastic.. Looking forward to really testing it out in the winter !! It is a really solid well made stove... our plumber was very impressed by the build quality when he was fitting it. Once it is up and running it is very economical on fuel to keep it ticking over

Got great advice from Stove Fan re the sizing requirements on the Main stoves thread which is a sticky on Plumbing & Heating

    Hi emg74 and Emmitt:),

Glad your very pleased with the Arrow EB12:D

Emmitt what is your room size where the stove is going and insulation levels? Any doors off this room to other rooms?
Did the plumber say what maximum room heat you needed from the stove?

Stoves are rated on two heat outputs: (KW or BTU's)

    1) Boiler output.
    2) Room heat output.

Room heat is the heat the stove produces to the room when the stove is lit.

This part is also vital otherwise if the stove room heat is too high you will close the stove up because the room is way too hot and then not heat the rads because the fire isn't going enough.
These two outputs are vital to a working system:)

hi there, am in the process of choosing a stove to heat a 2300 sq ft house with bison slabs. Spent nearly 4 grand in 10 months on oil last year heating the house so have taken a loan out to pull out the oil range and replace with the stove. Head is wrecked with all the different stoves and prices. Have been told i need a 30kw stove and my living room is 8.5 metres long x 5.1 m wide. Has anyone any experience of the green boiler stove. It's retailing at €1100. Is it too cheap? Was gonna go with the Boru but its €1650 so every penny counts as the man says. However don't wanna regret it in a couple of years. So any advice would be appreciated. :-)
