    Hi ,

Ive recently purchased a new TV for downstairs and wanted to move phillips 32" to my bedroom where i currently have a 19" tv . The 32" was plugged into the Sky+ box downstairs , when I moved it upstairs and plugged it into the Sky box upstairs it keeeps telling me that "No satellite signal......." or "Unplug your box for 5 mins ....." . Now I have done all this but to no avail and ive even switched back to the other TV and everything works just perfectly . Im very confused , there are only 2 cables that go in and I know I have them in right . Am I Missing something ??

It sounds like your TV is not set to the correct input channel.

What I mean by this is that on most modern TVs there is a choice of what imput to use, such as Scart, HDMI, PC etc. Some TVs also have an option for "Satellite" which is where I think the problem is. The "Satellite" setting is for a different type of Satellite reception than that provided by your Sky service.

Your Sky service is probably running on a Scart connection (a wide connector with lots of flat pins in it), or if you have Sky HD it will be a HDMI connection, so you will need to choose one of those for it to work.

It's a bit confusing when one of the input options says Satellite, and then it doesn't work.

There should be a button on the remote, and on the TV, which will allow you to cycle through the different inputs, so set it all up again and then go through them and you should find that the Sky signal will be there somewhere, on either the Scart setting or the HDMI setting depending on what Sky package you have.

Let us know how you get on?

    Ro
