Fetac level 5 can You get the grant twice

Hello I am just wondering my son completed a fetac level 5 but only got a partial cert as failed a few modules can he get the grant to do another fetac level 5?

I'm afraid not, i was in a similar position last year. Even though i did not receive a grant on the first fetac level 5 i did when i applied for a grant on the second level 5 i was told i was not eligible as i was not "progressing". If your son eventually goes further and does a degree he will be eligible for the grant again as it is a higher level and is seen as progression.
