how much to replace a screen on sony vaio ?

    just wondering how much would it cost me to replace the smashed screen on my sony vaio - VGN-NS20J ???

    also wheres the best place in the tipp / kilkenny area to bring it ??

    Its about €250 for a new screen alone,and I'm guessing another €75-100 for labour. You might be able to pick up a second hand screen for less though.

    At that money you might be better off hooking up a monitor, or getting a new machine.

    You can pick the screen up on ebay for 90 euro or so, and fitting it is a 10 min job. Its only about 10 small screws and plug in a couple of cables and your done

    Should be no more than ~€170 unless it's an oddball or old type panel.

    Send it to me if you get quoted much more. :-P
