Rught, so the aircon never worked on the car when I got it it was reflected in the price and only went around to getting it leak tested and regassed yesterday. The system had no leak and it is fully regassed but no joy. So condenser is sure,y the problem I think. I turn off and n the air con to see if revs go up and they do which never used happen before the Regas, but the aircon is not working, not blowing cold or not enough.
    Any ideas?

Have you changed the pollen filter?
Might be worth a try. If not sounds like an temp sensor. What type of car are we talking about anyway

Only changed pollen filter 4months ago. 05 Astra h. It has climate control so maybe that system is faulty...

If you turn "auto" off and turn temp down low as it will go you can check the air con independently of the climate control :) Doubt that will yield any good news though.

Plenty of places about that will diagnose that fault for you. You need a diagnostic check first before you replace anything expensive. Hopefully something small.

Condenser should be OK if there is no leak. Do you mean compressor? If pollen filter is OK check that fan is working on all speeds. Also check that fan behind condenser cuts in. Set temp to minimum and fan at top speed. If you measure temp. coming out of vent it should be around 18 deg C. All this would have been working if it was properly regassed, and above checks should have been carried out.

When you activate your aircon you should hear I click...

Locate compressor... Observe it with engine running and have someone activate the aircon.
Within a few seconds you should see the outer section if the compressor pulley start to spin as it is engaged (the click..)
If not locate relay and give it a few taps...swap with another similar relay etc/ check wiring.
