re grad nd filter

could this be possibly any use at this price, thinking of getting grad nd filter for 18-105 nikon lens any other suggestions do not want to spend too much but do not want to waste my money on rubbish either

IMO, i would go with the cokin system to begin with. get the holder with adapter for your lens and then just buy the square ND filters. you can get the cokin system in most good camera shops, or on ebay.

buy cheap*, buy twice. personal experience.

*cheap, as in pittance

thanks for that, ya i could not believe how cheap those filters on amazon were, why bother making something that cheap if it is rubbish

they just want to make a quick buck. i have a few cheap colour filters that aren't too bad... but cheap ND's are woeful!

because people don't want to pay out money and are blinded by cheap deals !! .... so people prefer to pay for the cheapest - chances are the people purchasing don't know what the correct effect is so the seller makes

i have decided to go with the cokin square filters they are a bit bulky but affordable
