Disc brake advice

    Hi,

I was on my way down from a spin in Balinastoe yesterday and my rear disc started rubbing. Not bad enough to slow me down, but annoying.

I was cleaning the bike today, took off the back wheel and when I put it back on the disc is rubbing even more. Im unable to pull the brake lever too much either.

I've adjusted the brake caliper position to try and centre the disc but this isn't working.

Any suggestions? The disc its self is fine and isn't bent or anything.

    Cheers.

    John

you can barely pull the lever? is the wheel spinning freely? if not id get it bleed (it is hydraulic yeah?) or you could leave a little oil out of the system, open the bleed port cap on the lever and pry the caliper apart gently with a flat head then put the bleed port cap back on (this does work but it can make a brake bleed necessary, just make sure not to pull the lever with the cap off), what kind of brakes are they?

Even with the caliper loose there's friction. Took the brake bloc off completely to make 100% sure its just the brakes and it was find, so its deffo brakes. Ill try bleeding it.

you could just try pushing the caliper pistons back with a flat head first, worth a shot
