    Stupidly slow doesn't even give you an idea of how slow this drive is. It crawls. If you're given one free- bin it. Seriously- its so slow as to be wholly unusable.

    Wouldn't trust that "up to" either.

    That's more than likely a burst at the start up to 24mb/s, and then settles down at 4 or 5.

    That mightn't be the case, but I wouldn't want to be the person to find out!

    On speed read/write, does anyone know a good, reliable USB that could be used for recording off a Saorview box for a decent price? Big size too.
