vibrating noise when cistern refilling

Hi, hav house 6years no probs till now...when u flush downstairs toilet makes a severe vibrating noise in the ceiling, think where pipes are going through the rafters....it stopps once cistern is full...this is new problem so cant be a water pressure problem. Any ideas? Also any cure for slow filling cistern in another…

This is the same issue as you , so you need to replace the diaphram washer too .

+1 on the Diaphragm. The rubber becomes hard and the next problem you will find if you leave it is the toilet takes an eternity to fill.

Thanks lads, from what i can gather it i will take off the white round nut that controlls how hi/low the arm goes. Ill let ye kno how i get on...
