i have got this desktop that has not been used in about a year, it was connected to the vodafone box with a yellow lead,
i think i made soom boob of the whole thing,
i deleted what i did not need, and did a disc cleanup and a defrag,
it will not connect up to the enternet,
    it is a windows xp,
i have tried everything, still no go,
all the laptops are working fine off the wireless of the same box, i have to get it up manually, as since i cannot connect it to internet i will not be able to download anything to it
    dont know what to do

Try resetting the TCIP Stack http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357 also delete any old anti virus that's on the computer first.
