Hmm maybe Kilcock to Summerhill to Trim? Those roads are quite good and wide. However, the back road from Maynooth to Kilcock isn't great. You could go home via the Dunboyne road.

On.the.phone.at.the.moment, so can't link you to a map, but a route I like is Maynooth - Kilcock - Cappagh - New town - Donadea - Prosperous- Sallins - Naas - Johnstown- Kill - Ardclough - Straffan - Celbridge - Maynooth.

It might come.in a bit longer than 50 or 60, but since it's a loop it would be possible to alter or trim bits off at the start or finish to get a suitable length

Some of my regular spins are

    Maynooth - Kilcock - Clane - Barberstown - Maynooth - 38KM

    Maynooth - Kilcock - Enfield - Maynooth - 38KM

    Maynooth - Enfield - Kinnegad - Maynooth - 79KM

Maynooth - Kilcock - Summerhill - Trim - (can't remember exactly what distance this is but I think it's around 75KM). You can also head back to Maynooth from Summerhill or Trim via Dunboyne, Batterstown or Moynalvey if you like.

This one is longer and flatter

Maynooth, barberstown, straffan, left at the blue door junction and onto ardclough. Some nice hills and a decent spin. Did Kilcock to Kinnegad there the other day. Man thats a boring spin, just one big straightroad for miles

I'm usually starting in Lucan so sometimes I'll head to Newcastle, Celbridge, Maynooth, Dunboyne, Blanch, Phoenix Park, Lucan. I think that clocks up about 60km. The Blanch road isn't too pleasant and there's a combination of rural and urban in it. Come to think of it, it's a while since I've done that and I haven't cycled over the new road layout. Must be over a year or so.
