    Hi guys,

I applied for my test 5 weeks ago, just after I'd finished my last EDT..

My driving instructor text me the other day to say he had only just updated the RSA website to say that I had done them... the waiting list for my area is 10 weeks..

Does that mean I have to wait for ten weeks from today?!?!

Only way to find out for sure is to phone the RSA or your local motor taxation office.

More than likely. You can apply before your EDT is finished but a test date is not generated for you until the RSA have proof of your last lesson being done (when your instructor sent it electronically to the RSA).

Puzzles me as to why your instructor waited for up to 5 weeks before submitting your last lesson. I submit my EDT's on the evening of the lessons. That time frame is unacceptable unless there is a valid reason.

He only does it at the end of every month.. Logged onto the website last night for my EDT, and I'm still missing one.

Rang the RSA, and they confirmed it so I asked my driving instructor to take a look. I asked them and they said once it was done and updated id have a date within 3 weeks??

Do you know generally how much notice you get when they send you a date?

Agree 100 per cent. Your ADI should be submitting your lessons much more frequently, daily as clanpiper has mentioned is preferable as to ensure pupils enter the process to get their test dwhen as soon as they apply.
