Hi all, this is my first time on boards or any forum so please forgive any protocol errors! Also I hope I'm in the correct area/section.

I need to produce a large amount of mathematical text quite quickly and am considering using the maths input panel feature with windows...would prefer to use a stylus pen and tablet but don't know much about tech stuff.

Any advice or alternatives to the maths input panel option would be very welcome and most appreciated,

    Thanks, Shane

LaTeX is widely used across academia, especially in maths.

Latex uses the markup language Tex for typesetting maths amongst other document types. It has a steeper learning curve than the maths input panel in windows, however it is much more powerful.

You can try it out online before you download it - http://www.codecogs.com/latex/eqneditor.php
