I bought a Bosch ClassicXX 1000 about 7yrs ago, 2 of my daughters purchased similar models bit later, there're fairly basic but none have given any trouble.

Bosch, Miele and Siemens are the BMWs of electrical appliances.

They may be pricey, but they'll more than pay for themselves in the lack of headaches and repairs you'd need with a Hotpoint or Zanussi.

Neff is up there with Miele in terms of price.
