Bering Sea Gold - Under The Ice

The Bering Sea has high concentrations of gold that can be attributed to numerous sources, including gold rich rivers that flow into it, erosive forces that strip continental rocks of its gold and carry it to the sea, and bedrock sources that push auriferous debris up to the sea floor. However, the solid ice that covers roughly two miles of the Bering Sea during the winter months has always protected this valuable and highly sought-after precious metal. Bering Sea Gold: Under the Ice follows three gold mining teams run by driven dredge captains whose very livelihoods depend on mining this wet and frozen gold. Split second thinking, extreme focus, and team work are key to staying alive under the ice. The risks are great, and the payoff even greater.

    Season 1 , Episode 1
Three teams of miners kick off operations in the opener of this series following fortune seekers as they search for gold beneath the frozen surface of the Bering Sea.

Not a bad show, but not as good as Gold Rush (season 3 starting in October).

Looks good, i see they have another new show called Yukon Men starting as well, set in Alaska.
Now this name for a show really pisses me off because i have lived in the Yukon before and the Yukon is a territory of Canada not part of Alaska, so many shows make this mistake like a RTE documentary years ago about Dawson City which they said was in Alaska when it is in the Yukon.
If they want to call a show Yukon Men surely it should be set in the Yukon not Alaska.

    Anyone watch gold divers?

The returns seem much better than gold rush, some of them were pulling 70k of gold out a day.

Ya I watch it,seems to be less work to do as well.the boys on Gold Rush work very hard for small returns, was it on the first episode that on boat made 70k in a day and in the last episode one of the crew got stabbed while out celebrating

Even the guy that built the dredge for 30k pulled out 5 or 6k worth on his first dive.

Of course the chances of dying must be 100 times higher

Maybe the title refers to the Yukon River - which more or less bisects Alaska?

No clue, sorry....thought the second ep. was better. The lads from The Lazy Gator are mad and up for a laugh, as for The Clark.... , bunch of wussies!, neither Reidel could cut it and jumped outta the water in panic.

Still can't fathom wtf an opera singer is doing on this show, and HOW exactly is she a babe????? - maybe in Nome Alaska where there aren't many wimmin', but for everywhere else....woof!

Holding me interest for now :)
