I got my bridesmaid dresses from jenjen house. Was pleased with them but do remember they are just copies of what you see in the picture and are going to look like copies. If you email jenjen house they'll send you decent pics of what they look like in 'real life'.

Also you will have to factor VAT and customs into the price, this is about 30% of the cost price.

And factor in the cost of alterations. Even if the dresses fit they will look 10 times better when a professional dressmaker has been at them trust me. This can cost about €80 per dress, probably much more in the case of a wedding dress.

Do report back what it's like if you go ahead with it though!

While I did not order a replica online, I found my dress in a bridal shop here. I then hit the internet looking for second hand dresses.
I even managed to find the dress I loved, brand new and unworn for half the price it cost here. I found it on oncewed, a US site. The bride who originally bought it had changed her mind about the dress so it hadn't even been altered :)
It might be an idea :)
I got my dress for exactly half the price the shops wanted here. As it was a private sale, I got the seller to undervalue the dress on the package.... probably a bit risky if it had gone missing as insurance would only cover the declared value.
The dress arrived ok and I managed to not pay customs.

Eep, i don't know if the bride is actually looking for tax evasion ideas! Is that illegal?

Anyway, I bought my dress second hand from ebay. It helps to find your dress if you are an average height, and dress size. If you are tall, most dresses will have been altered to be shorter.

Just make sure you order it in plenty of time, just in case something goes wrong.

If the dress arrives and customs charges aren't charged then it's obviously not illegal. It's the luck of the draw whether you get charged or not. I bought bridesmaid dresses from America and I was charged customs but our invitations arrived from America with no extra charges.

Nope, smuggling is still illegal whether you get away with it or not.
