I'm coming to an end of a Sky Six Month 25% discount. I received it after I requested a termination. It was my first and only termination request after 10+ years.

How long before I can hope for a similar deal in the future?
What is your experience of repeated discounts and the gap between them?
Have they ever called your bluff?

You should contact them at least 30 (or maybe 31 days) before your scheme finishes, and haggle with them again. If you are closer than those days, you will be billed at the full rate for at least 1 month. If you threaten to cancel again, be prepared to go through with it, and give them their 30 or 31 days notice. You'll get a couple of calls before the month is up, begging you to stay.

Look for a discount first and if there is no offer, you will have to go through the cancellation process. As above when you cancel you have 30 days before you are switched off.

In the past I have sent an email to estenquiries@BSkyB.com (Executive Support Team). Plead your case and normally an agent will ring you back.

At the start of the year I did the above and got nowhere.

Then later on I got fed up with them and cancelled. Offered 25% first then 50%. Turned both offers down.

I think that was around May. The only contact I got from them since was a refund of a small amount of money I was owed - also they asked would I like to re-join but with no offer of a discount.

I was with them for 6 years.

Some posts before say they send out letters with offers after a few months.

So it depends. To get some discount you will have to bargain big time.

You could be unlucky. You could go through the full process and live off Saorview/Freesat/FTA for a few months. Then wait for an offer.
