Guys looking at getting a new bike...
I went into a few bike shops over the last few days....

    Felt F95/Felt F85
Microshifters-apparently they are not as good as compared to shimano
    Is this true?

Looked at Giant defy models, defy 3 and 2
Guy was telling me that I should get bike with Tiagra parts as they are more reliable than Sora, and that it is easier to change gears with them...is this true?
He also said that the wheels arent great on the giant bikes ...giant sr 2,4 ...some chinese brand with giant sticker on them.....

He said i should concentrate on bike with all shimano parts...

My budget range would be 800-1000 euro

Looking for bike with carbon fork as i can't the price of a full carbon bike...

    any recommendations please?

    I have the Felt F85 2011 - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/felt-f85-2011/

Lovely bike. And yes it as the Microshift levers. There is nothing wrong with them as long as your not use to shimano shifters or better it shouldn't be a big deal.

Admittedly I got the F85 for €700 which was a massive saving.

Tiagra is 10 speed and has the same style of shifters as the higher end groupsets whereas Sora is 8 speed and you have to be holding the hoods to shift the gears. I don't know if they're necessarily more reliable as you go up the range, i'm sure Sora is fine as long as it's maintained well.

If it's old stock (as recent as last year) then one could knock 1 off each of those.

the felt f95 is less than €700 on wiggle now.

I'd still go for a ribble winter trainer myself at that price range.
You can get it with tiagra 9/double for €725. Choice of compact chain rings for an extra €9.
