I am sorry, it appears you have exceeded your 11Gb allowance

You can buy additional usage or speak to our Technical Support Team by calling 1913 and selecting option 5.
What a joke can anybody here justify this crap with three. How in the hell is a family meant to only use 11 gb in a month. Can someone please explain to me how with NBS Broadband you get 25 gb for €20 and with the satellite you get 11gb:mad:

Satellite and 3g are called "midband" for a reason...

One of the biggest reasons (among many) is that the download caps are miserable with satellite being the worst of all

Thank Eamon Ryan. Get a second satellite dish is the only solution ( actuallly get a second terminal and swap over mid month). The installer will be happy to leave you with it.

"Similarly, following contracted upgrades to the satellite product in July 2012 and again in February 2014, minimum download speeds of 1.6Mbps and 2Mbps respectively, together with a minimum upload speed of 256Kbps and a maximum contention ratio of 48:1, will apply, with the data cap remaining at 11GB."

Has the dedicated website that is supposed to allow monitoring of usage arrived yet? I can't bear the thought of having to ring the 3 help line to ask.

Could you explain this in more detail please? I'm on the NBS and have a dish from DigiWeb (one of the new smaller ones). Are you saying DigiWeb will give me a second dish and that this will double my 11gb/month allowance?

When did Digiweb supply the dish, I thought SBI ...now named Onway had the contract and they claim they do. ???

Another adult in your house can apply for the NBS in their own name, solution 2 Dishes and 2 contracts but they may just leave a second Tooway box. :)

Why did Three change satellite service provider?
To ensure that all Three NBS customers continue to have the best possible satellite experience, Three tendered for a new service provider and Digiweb were the successful vendor in this process. The migration to Digiweb’s service took place from Thursday 12th July – Monday 16th July 2012.

I was able to download as much as I wanted at night before the satellite provider was changed – is it true I will no longer be able to do this?
Yes, however only 50% of your usage at night is accounted towards your 11GB
