I have a 407 hdi 1.4D, was told last year in a Garage, I needed a new fuel pump & possibly injectors................Changed the garage that I used to fill her up in & never had anymore problems, didnt get the work done either, also put a bottle of injector cleaner in with the diesel.

HDI engine seems to need the really clean fuel, which also costs a little more.

As grumpymenever said its best confirm that you have a faulty injector before
you go replacing it....A diesel leakback test will give a good idea if you have faulty injector(s)

The injectors can be awkward to get to on the 807's as space is restricted due to the overhanging bulkhead...Otherwise the 2.0 hdi injectors are straight forward to replace unless the injector seals had been leaking and have a build up of carbon around them.

Replacing injectors on a 2.2 hdi can be a different story...
Google "2.2 hdi injector removal" and there is plenty of horror storys out there..:(

As for removal costs i would think a few hours work should do it.
Say €80-€100 should go along way with labour and around €150 to get the injector reconditioned....tbh if you have one faulty injector then the others could also be suspect...

If you need an injector removal guide pm me your email address and i'll send on some info..:)
