URGENT: Black Tie afters invite

HI all, we are invited to the afters of a black tie wedding tomorrow and my husband is looking to know what to wear... does it have to be a tux, or can he get away with a balck suit with a white shirt and black tie rather than a dickie? thanks

I wouldnt bother with the black tie to be honest. Its the afters not the full wedding.

Suit will be fine with a smart tie.

its the afters so everyone will be rid of their dickys by then.
