Periodontal treatment

I have aggressive perio disease and have had deep cleaning,( root scaling and plaining) on all four quadrants costing €2500, I have been told that I need surgery for bone regeneration costing another € 3000 - €3500. I barely got through the worry and sickness of the first treatment and now I am so depressed at the thoughts of will this treatment work, how much bone loss do I have, how much more will my gums recede, I have big gaps between my teeth, one of my teeth are loose, I'm worried about jaw bone loss and loads more. I don't know if I can cope. Has any one else had this experience and anyone in the cork area, how did ye cope and which periodontist did ye go to? Also on top of everything, how much more expensive can it get if you need implants etc, that's even if I'm lucky enough to be a candidate for them.:(

theres a few good dentists in limerick(where abouts do you live?) im not sure if i can name them but my mother has bad gums at the moment and is getting a peridontal check her teeth are loose in her mouth also so it doesnt look good.ring around all the dentists in your area to get a good estimate of what treatments they do and what their best price is,it is worth saying 'im shopping around to see who to go to',and they might even do a deal for you!

Christmas..relax with the dental advice please, this is specialist periodontal treatment and beyond your experience, I understand your enthusiastic abaout dental treatment at the moment but the gunshot reply to every thread is not required.

Op,you obviously in good hands and the periodontistwill do everything possible to keep you natural teeth, if you need periodontal surgery your case if more severe. IMplants are always there to replace any teeth you loose, but hopefully it won't come to that. Implants are far less expensive than they used to be but every case if different as is the price between a periodontist and a regular dentist.
