So i've met this guy who is a nice bit older older than me.... this is not a problem

We get on well and have some good chats. He fascinates me. I could listen to him talk for hours. He has been flirty with me and suggested calling round to me on more than one occasion. When he suggested it first it kind of caught me off guard as i wasnt expecting it and hadnt thought of him in that light before - I thought we were just friends. But once he'd said it I couldnt get it out of my head and realised I actually kind of liked him or i think i do, im not really sure now!! But Id like to find out though!

The thing is i suggested he call round last week and he text me at some ungodly hour the next morning with an excuse as to why he couldnt, said some other time. I never text him back as it was so early in the morning and what was I gonna say? Sure when I hadnt heard from him the night before I presumed he was busy!

Now I think I've put my foot in it somehow as I think hes being weird with me at work now and its kinda bugging me and as i dont really know him that well im unsure about how to deal with it. Like I used to just pop round to his office for a chat and end up being there an hour! Been afraid to do that all week or maybe its awkward i feel and not afraid, im not sure!

Ive no idea why he would have suggested coming round if he didnt really want to. I never gave him the impression that I wanted that at all, as i said i always thought he was just being friendly.

Im moving jobs in a few weeks so I wont be working in the same place as him then so its not like if he is being weird that its going to bother me long but its kinda odd, dont you think? I feel like im missing something! Then i think to myself that maybe hes waiting till i go so that its less awkward with work and that, a silly girls consolation hey?

Im not sure now whether to say something or just leave it and see how things play out. Any suggestions as to what I should do? Thanks for reading :)

Maybe he just wants to call around as a Friend ? Just cause someone suggests they want to call around doesn't necessarily mean they are into you and want more then friendship.

He might have actually been busy that night and had something on. Maybe he's feeling awkward and embarrassed because you didn't reply to his text.

I honestly think you are reading into all to much.

I think you should just approach him and talk to him the way you use to. See what happens from there. As you mentioned yourself if it is a little awkward at least your out of his way in a few weeks.

OP assume you mean calling around to your house? I find that a bit odd - why not suggest going out for a drink??

As SunnyDub says - carry on as normal and see what happens.

Hi OP. This is what happens when people are not straight up with each other and texts get involved. You are being just as weird with him as you say he is being with you ... but neither of you have actually COMMUNICATED about this

If you like him .. go and tell him for goodness sakes, and ask him out. After all you won't have to face him every day at work more than another few days.

As you didn't text him back he maybe thinks you're hurt/angry/weird/upset? Just go visit his office like normal?

It is odd that he's suggested calling round to you. Workmates usually don't do that out of thin air unless they're also good friends. If he was really interested in you, he would have been straightforward about it and asked you out. I tend to think he was messing with you a bit, just joking, or maybe you just got your wires crossed. I'd try and behave normally with him and see how things go.
