Need to change FB username

I'm urgently trying to change my facebook user name as I have a business promotion starting tomorrow and need to use a FB page whilst I am waiting for my domain registration to come through. FB says I need 25 likes first but I'm not going to get that number in time. Does anyone know how to get around this?

What's the problem with using the FB page as is?
Or give the upcoming address but say it'll take some time for it to go though.

Thanks for quick reply. I know nothing about FB(first time user)It's a page linked to a personal account but used for a business if that makes sense. I have followed the procedure to change the username but am blocked due to the lack of likes.

The current FB address is very long and will look unprofessional on the promotion but I don't yet have a website so will have to use FB.

I'd just give out the URL that is in process and say it will be working shortly.

Or use a URL shortener like tinyurl.com or similar for the presentation.

I'm sure if you "suggested" the page to your whole friend list, you would get at least 25 likes. Worth a shot.

I've changed the title, pleading for "likes" in this and other forums isn't the way to go.

Are your really telling us that you don't have 25 friends who would do you a favour?

Yes Biko. Sorry. I was just panicking a bit last night. Thanks to everyone who gave constructive advice, very much obliged. All new to me.

It was an emergency of sorts and I have never used FB before. Anyway time to close this thread I think!
