Trajet problems.

A friend of mine has a '05 Trajet; 2 litre (CRDi 16V stamped on the rocker cover), with 115,000km on the clock.
A few weeks back, his wife complained of the car being very smokey and revving wildly.
Turned out that the turbo had blown and that was causing the smoke and the rev issue.

The car was due for a major service, so he got the turbo replaced, new timing belt and water pump, oil and filters, etc, etc.

Since then, he thinks that it's still not running right, and it's still smoking a bit.
He also reckons that it's started to get very thirsty on the diesel.

He's had it into two independant garages so far. One says that one of the injector seals is leaking, while another reckons that it's just the exhaust being full of oil from the blown turbo that just needs to be burnt out of it.

    Anyone here know about Trajets?
Do they have a catalytic converter or dpf that is now junk and clogged because of the turbo blowing?
If so, ball-park figure to fix???

As for the injector, is there a known 'soft one' that is the usual suspect for a problem?? (for example, on the Lexus IS220D, most injector problems were caused by a problem in number 5 injector)
If so, ball-park figure to fix?

Final question, does this vintage of Trajet have a computer plug-in port so that it could be hooked up to a diagnostic and the problem highlighted?

    Thanks.

An 05 Trajet runs OBDII so has a standard diagnostic port.

It may well have lots of oil in the exhaust and intercooler as they should have been removed and cleaned after changing the turbo.

Proper diagnostic tests, physical and electronic, will tell if there is any leak back from the injectors or other fuel pressure issues etc.
