Hi I have a triax freesat box and a saor view box. I want to know if it is possible to connect the tv out connection of the triax to the saor view antenna in connection and then tune in the triax box like that?

Is the satellite receiver a Triax SR110, with RF modulator output of the selected satellite channel? Do you need the RF output combined with the aerial signal for other tvs?

You need a UHF aerial to receive the Saorview signal: you could plug it into 'ant in' on the SR110 & then 'tv out' to the Saorview box aerial input & then loop out from there for further distribution.

Ok yes my box does have the rf modulator and what I want to know is if I do connect an aerial into the triax will I receive the freesat channels as well as the freeview.

    Thanks for your help.

First off, Triax don't make a genuine Freesat receiver, it's just a free-to-air (FTA) satellite receiver. It will only receive & decode satellite channels via the lnb input.

The Saorview box, assuming it's terrestrial only, will receive & decode any DVB-T transmissions you can receive via an aerial, be they Saorview (Irish) DTT or Freeview (UK) DTT.

Ok thanks. Here this is my situation I have a the free to air box upstairs and wired to a tv point downstairs via coax cable. I want to connect it up to a projector but the projector does not take the coax input any idea on what I could do?

Use a connection that will work with the projector, presumably you'll have to move the receiver closer & extend its lnb feed or whatever. Then you could use the RF output to feed the upstairs tv.
