stable manure and cabbage plants.

For over 20 years I have been keeping these completely separate -only using ground that had been manured at least 1 year previously- as that is what I remember the books saying.

However , this year I have a surplus of very well rotted stable manure ( over a year) and I am tempted to use it for the cabbage plants I am soon to transplant.

Will that be OK -or am I going to have to add some lime along with it ?

    Thanks.
