    Hi All,

Baseball Ireland and The Ashbourne Baseball Club is embarking on an exciting project to establish a top class baseball facility in Ashbourne, Co Meath.

This field is vital to the progression of baseball in Ireland and the improvement of the Irish National Team.

If you have $1 to spare please donate here: http://www.baseballireland.com/ashbourne/

We are trying to raise $30,000 in 30 days.

Thanks in advance for any donations, no matter how small.

    Al

Why 30 days? Anyway, I'll donate, sure.

Out of curiousity, what are the outfield dimensions? I'm presuming it'll be a hitters park. :D

That's why I asked for the outfield distances. :D

Ha ha, I'm not sure of the distance.
Its definitely shorter than Corkagh Park but the houses are further back than the picture suggests :)

If you have a second, please check out the facebook page, like and share. http://www.facebook.com/dollaraheadnuffced

Any and all donations are appreciated.

This may be a stupid question but why is it in dollars?

Gimmick as it's promoting an American sport? Hoping for Irish Canadian and American donations from across the Pond?

As the fundraiser theory is small donations by a large quantity of people its also going to be promoted in the US. Large number of people who want to help the Irish and like baseball.

Thought so...they better do something decent with that money collected!

Yeah it was a bit disappointing. The money raised will still be used towards the field. It will not be used for any other purpose.
They are running some other fundraiser events here and abroad. People can still donate!
This field is an important step in the development of baseball in Ireland and will be built eventually!
