Side by Side Video Editing Similar to VLC Direct3d

    Hi,
    I have two separate HD video files (.m2ts) which were taken at the same time from in front and to the side of the subject. I would like to know how I could merge these files so that the videos played side by side at the same instant. Is there a freeware program that allows this? All help appreciated.

    Your basically looking for software that supports layers.

    I'm not sure what the restrictions are like on Adobe trials but you could download a trial of Premiere and do what you want to do.
