Hey, I have a problem with 1 of my tooth's, it's so called wisdom teeth on very right side bottom. it doesn't hurt much but if I try to close upper and bottom teeth together, top tooth presses on it and it feels bit of pain, right now it's partly visible, it's like out of gum. So do I need a removal? If so is it possible to be put to sleep during this? :( I don't want to feel anything whatsoever or even imagine what's going on in there during this procedure. Where do I go? I've never been to dentist or even a hospital in Ireland as my health is totally perfect and immune so I've never gone there. btw it doesn't hurt when either hot or cold hits that area, only if I put pressure on it. What's the rough cost? long? how long recovery?

you can get it done on the medical card there is a waiting list or go private visit vhi dental insurance or google it,its 11 euros a month and im thinking of going this route for the future.i have two further extractions looming over me and im in dread and horror and pain thinking about this, they are never good with pain medication, but think of it,its FAR worse to have an abcess on a friday evening where its hard to get a dentist, think of that!it is possible to be put to sleep if you see your dentist some do different types of sedation, others like oral surgeons only,do anaethetic you can make an appointment through your dentist for this and they will refer you on to your oral surgeon..they cut the gum in oral surgery so it could be more pain..recovery time would be at least a week,do not lift ,bend or suck through a straw, blow your nose ,cough or sneeze as negative and positive pressure in your mouth could dislodge a clot and cause dry socket which is supposed to be very painful.good luck with everything i know i need it too.

okay I ended up going to my friend, shes doing something to do with dental things course in college, shes nearly finished it, so had a look and said it's not wrong growing and doesn't have to be removed, it's just that new tooth is growing up (wisdom tooth) so I feel bit discomfort/itching feeling in mouth as it's growing + my teeth will move themselves a little bit and get used to new tooth so it's just temporary pain, 3 days now and I don't feel pain almost. Glad I didn't had to remove it or anything, I read up so much stuff about it that I probably rather leave it growing wrong than go through all that scary stuff :D
