browser torment

    i have an aspire one d255e running windows 7, i get a dialouge box saying that internet explorer cannot open, i downloaded a new version installed it with the same result, everything is described as .ink, i have downloaded firefox, it can be opened by, hitting the start button, then typing firefox browser in the search for files and programs box, thanks in advance.

    Last time browsers refused to open on Windows 7 for me, it was the winsock protocol that needed to be reset on the computer.

    If you right click on the Command Prompt option and run it as an administrator and then type in the following:

    netsh winsock reset

    Then press enter, this resets the protocol and allows the browser to open. But its only a guess mind you.
