Max GUI adjustment

    Someone told me today their GUI stopped going up by .1's recently despite scoring below CCS. Is there a maximum amount of strokes back in a year or something?

    Yes two full shots is the maximum. e.g. you start the year at 7.8 exact and the most you can increase to in one calender year is 9.8 exact.

    Slight amendment to this ... It's not two shots above your start-of-year handicap, it's two shots above your lowest handicap of the year. So you could start at 7.8 but if you get cut to say 6.8 the highest u can go to us now 8.8. Real life example ... Mate of mine started year at 8.4 but got cut to 5.6 so highest he can now rise to is 7.6.

    Good to hear, all we now is a max limit to the number of .1's that can be recieved.

    Great to hear that news ! I didn't know that you got only get 2 back in a year . I have played a lot of opens this year and am sick of getting .1 back every open !

    So just to clarify one thing. Is this reset at the beginning of every golf year or is it always 12 months on from your lowest handicap?
