scaning cows 2012

    well lads and of course ladies, did anyone scan there cows yet this year and what is the coception rate like? i didnt scan myself but am in the next 2 or 3 weeks, half terrified to scan to tell the truth

    ya ill scan 1st October, ran the bull late as there was a lot of late bulling heifers, pulled the bulls last week so gona be very late calving next year!I'd say the weather might affect fertillity this year

    i scan ever 3weeks

    conception to first service way up this year-over 60% from 34%last year

    this year i submitted at 42days- if not cycling by 50days she was on a gnrh program

    on target for a 390 day calving interval (from 419) all year round calving(except june july august) WILL deliver 8000lts and 600kg/ms per cow

    was talking to scanning man last week, he said there is alot of embryo mortality this year- cows that where scanned in calf a few months ago coming back in definite heat....i will be scanning heifers next week and cows a few wekks after

    I scanned 19 out of 20 in calf 30 days after bull taken away.

    Will prob scan again before they go into the shed to confirm no empties.

    Was expecting a few more empties given the year we had.

    scanned a few weeks ago

    6 out of 9 hiefers put with the bull incalf
    but 5 empty cows!!! feckin standstill:mad::mad::mad:
