Humax box - pinching

Any one any idea why CH 4 HD programmes recorded on the humax stb has pinching ...black vertical lines each side of the picture. The programme is " everyone loves Raymond " It's a modern programme..eg it's not an old programme that may have been recorded in a different format. The stb is set at 1080 full HD not sure if…

The programme is " everyone loves Raymond " It's a modern programme..eg it's not an old programme that may have been recorded in a different format.

The stb is set at 1080 full HD not sure if that has relevance.
