If they made a new movie, who would you want it to be about?

Who would you pick? Give a reason too.
I would pick Darth Maul because his rivalry with Obi-Wan could have been expanded much more throughout the prequel trilogy!

It would have to be Jar Jar Binks surely?

A new movie? Hmm, suppose it would have been cool to see the Darth Plagueis & Sideous story played out in a real dark/moody type film.

The Thrawn Trilogy. The story of the rise and fall of Grand Admiral Thrawn is one I'd love to see get made into a film.

The only problem is, roles of the main trilogy characters (Luke, Leia, Han, etc.) would need to be re-cast, as the actors would now be too old to convincingly play them in these films (the Thrawn Trilogy is set 5 years after the events in Return Of The Jedi; obviously it is now almost 30 years since ROTJ). Who they could get to portray Luke and Leia is not the most important piece of casting, IMO. More important is the question as to who could play Han with the film. There's also the question of casting Thrawn; the sinister, cold, brilliant master tactician. God knows who could portray him. It has to be subtle, as in the books he rarely displays the fulminating anger that most villains would and is very understated.

They deserve to be given the big screen treatment...

Han Solo, Boba (Maybe Jango) Fett and Jabba the Hutt could all fit together in one form or another if the movie was going to be some underworld look at the Star Wars Universe, I wouldn't want to see it happen though.

I wouldn't mind a darker Sith based movie, not necessarily following any particular storyline.

Said it before and i'll say it again, if they could do something along the yuuzhan vong NJO storyline, have everyone in it except jacen.

To the uninitiated, whats that storyline?

To simplify it, aliens from another galaxy invade, they abhore technology, everything they have is organic, the main thing about them is they have no presense in the force. The organic tech sounds daft but is actually well put together. It's set about 20 years after ROTJ so you've most of the film characters and the new up and coming jedis including the solo children. Wnet on for about 14-15 books, epic stuff, ok there was some stinkers of books\plots but there was also some great ones. The darkside\light side got tiresome at that stage, it was a vreath of fresh air.

I think Obi-wan as a padawan would be pretty interesting with Qui gon too :)

I'd love to see an animated movie/series of the above as long as the right people were involved and they were able to capture the magic of the originals. Not going to happen but I can dream.

Good choice, but you are right on the problems with doing it now. If they made them in 3 animated movies I would defiantly watch them.

As for who would play/voice Thrawn, I would go with Mark Strong.

While I love the Thrawn trilogy, I already know the story so I don't see the need to have it made into a film.

If another trilogy was made I would love to see it set around the Tales of the Jedi era. Those comics are up there with the best SW comics for me....characters like Exar Kun, Naga Sadow, Ulic Qel-Droma, Nomi Sunrider, Jedi Master Thon were so cool and the storylines were brilliant. I think it would make a great trilogy.

I'd love to see a bunch of movies set in the star wars universe, but just like a normal movie set here in the real world. No Major Galactic domination, no major characters that we know today, no tales of sith v jedi..... A normal movie with a star wars flavour.

Think James Bond set on Corellia, with Blasters, speeders, thermal detonators, the many alien species of the star wars universe.
The Hunger Games set on some backwater planet controlled by a Hutt.
    Terminator, Star Wars Style.
    Saving Republic Commando 1136.
    Indiana Jones
    Scarface
    Bourne series
Oceans 11, you get the drift...

I think the Thrawn trilogy are probably the most cohesive. I also think Shatterpoint could make a good movie.

Jabba would make a good film, imho.

I'd like to get away from Jedi stories (the prequels proved to me that they're just a bunch of boring, humourless stiffs ... even the "rulebreaker" Anakin is dull) and I'd like something different. Maybe a movie about Bounty Hunters. Each season of the current animated show is loosely based around a theme and I keep finding myself thinking back to the eps of the 2nd season "Rise of the Bounty Hunters" with Cad Bane and Co.
