I used like games such as sim city, age of empire's, caesar, theme park world.
Never really was into gaming but some of these games i could spend weeks at.
Would not ever be too bothered about tasks just building an ideal city/building.

Anyone know of an expansions to these games that are kept in the same format.. I used always reach data limits in populations etc.

Try Rise of Nations, Age of Mythology and Zeus.

    Civilization series , 4+5

Tropico 4 is probably the nearest thing you'd want if you like building cities

Anno 1404 is a really good game. Haven't tried the latest one tho.

Sim City 4 Deluxe is still pretty damn awesome. Runs on a netbook too.

    +1000 on tropico 4.

If you can get Tropico 3 cheaper, go for it. It's essentially the same game.

Tropico 4 has modern times dlc which is great. A lot of cool updates and buildings.

Does tropico 3 has voice acting for advisors?

Really can't remember been so long since I've played it. I really wasn't impressed with tropico 4 as a sequel. It was a pretty identical game.

If you can get them at the same price 4 is the better choice for the few building additions, otherwise I wouldn't be too bothered.

Civ5 has seen about 400 hours of my life.

and I reckon 150 of those hours were in one game.
