I presume by the lack of replies that it cant be done.Does anybody know where I could get another sansa clip plus at a good price ?

You could open it up and try solder it back but for the cheap price of them you'd have to weigh up if it's worth the effort.
Amazon are grand to get the sansa line of players.

Here's a scan of the clip plus if you do open it might be worth a look anyway.

Would be helpful if I included a link.

There's a good few places around Dublin & other cities that repair mobile phones, I'd be surprised if a technician in one of them didn't also have the skills to repair your Clip. Worth a try anyway.

Thanks for the help, would I be better getting a 2gb and a large sd card or a 8gb one ? is there any difference in performance having songs on the sd card?

    NO difference performance wise imo.
    I use rockbox tho. YMMV.

My clip plus has started giving me problems in last few weeks. It seems to work ok apart from the fact the display has completely stopped working.

I'm open to suggestions if anyone has some!

Buy a 2gb and get the 64gb card. Job done.
